  • Comply with law – meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect rights.

We never sell your personal information.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We share data only as needed with:

  1. Service providers – cloud hosting (AWS or equivalent), analytics, email delivery, payment processors (e.g., Stripe).

  2. Integrations you enable – if you connect third‑party tools, we pass the minimum data required for them to work.

  3. Professional advisers – lawyers, accountants, insurers, under confidentiality.

  4. Legal or safety reasons – when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Wake’s, our users, or others.

  5. Business transfers – in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale; you will receive notice and can opt out where required.

All vendors are bound by contracts that require them to safeguard personal data and use it only for our instructions.

6. International transfers

We store data in the United States. If you are outside the U.S., your data may be transferred and processed here. Where EU/UK data is involved, we rely on:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other approved transfer mechanisms, and

  • additional technical and organizational safeguards (encryption in‑transit & at‑rest, least‑privilege access controls).

7. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes stated above:

  • Account data – while you have an active account + 3 years.

  • Wait‑list records – 18 months or until you unsubscribe.

  • Financial records – 7 years (tax/legal).

  • Logs & backups – up to 30 days, unless required for security or investigations.

We will delete or anonymize data when it is no longer needed.

8. Your rights

If you are in the EEA/UK (GDPR):

  • Access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent at any time.

If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA):

  • Right to know, right to delete, right to correct, right to opt‑out of “sale” or “sharing” (we do neither), and freedom from discrimination.

To exercise any right, email privacy@wakes.ai or use in‑app controls. We may verify your identity before responding.

9. Cookies & tracking technologies

We use first‑ and third‑party cookies and similar tools to:

  • keep you logged in,

  • remember preferences,

  • gather anonymized analytics, and

  • measure email performance.

You can manage cookies in your browser settings or reject non‑essential cookies via our cookie banner (where required).

10. Security

We employ industry‑standard safeguards, including:

  • TLS encryption,

  • hashed & salted passwords,

  • role‑based access controls, and

  • routine penetration testing.

No method of transmission or storage is 100 % secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our site may link to external sites (e.g., Calendly wait‑list sign‑up). We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; review their policies separately.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on wakes.ai and revise the “Effective Date” above. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or in‑product notice at least 15 days in advance.
